I have been making art as long as I can remember. My degree is in Studio Art, which is where I fell in love with the fluidity and richness possible in oil paintings. And I have been forever since a student. Making art is a way to suspend myself in awe for the moments that would otherwise be fleeting and forgotten. I hope my art speaks to a similar search within you.

My work is inspired by the morning sky. I am always chasing more light, more subtlety, more of the ephemeral. I love the cool of shadows and the warmth of color. I gush over the translucency of flower petals and the dance of reflections over water. Trying to still the passing of time.

I work mostly in oils. I especially love the polish of oil paintings on panel. I also paint in watercolor, do silkscreen, carve foam pumpkins, sew, make jewelry, and practice photography. But my love of loves is painting.
